Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need previous experience?

No, you do not need experience to join our classes. We have the perfect class for your child!

What does my child need to wear to class?

The clothes your daughter wears to school are perfect for our classes. We suggest light, and comfortable clothing. Tennis shoes are best, but not required.

Is there a registration fee?

There is a one time registration fee of $25 per child per season.  This fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and due upon online registration. Each paid registration fee receives an FTA t-shirt.

What are the monthly tuition rates?

All 30 minute classes are $35/month for 1 twirler, $50/month for 2 twirlers, and $65/month for 3 twirlers.

All 1 hour classes are $50/month for 1 twirler, $75/month for 2 twirlers, and $105/month for 3 twirlers.

This fee is NON-REFUNDABLE once paid for the month

When is monthly tuition due?

Monthly tuition is due by the 15th of every month, to avoid a $30 late fee. Late fees are strictly enforced. If you feel that you will be unable to make a payment, by the 15th of the month, please contact us via email, phone, or text. We are willing to work out a payment date with you. If you do not contact us, we will apply the late fee to your twirler's account. If the payment is not made on time or by the 30th of the month, your twirler will NOT be able to participate in class.  

How do I pay for monthly tuition?

CASH: All cash payments must be in an envelope with the student and parent name. Please use exact change, and please do NOT mail cash payments. Cash payments can be sent on your child's twirling day, or dropped off at the studio.

CHECK: Checks can be sent with your child on her class day, or mailed to the studio. Please write the twirler's name and in the memo line.

Must make payable to: Florida Twirling Academy. A $30 fee will be charged for all returned checks (NSF)

CREDIT/DEBIT: Tuition can be paid by Credit/Debit card through our Parent Portal, with a 4% convenience fee added. You can also sign up for automatic monthly billing through the parent portal.

***Twirlers may NOT participate if your account is more than 30 days behind***

Is it required for my child to have her own baton?

Batons are not required for your twirler to have. We have sanitized “borrow batons” for use at weekly classes, and at performances. These batons are not allowed to go home with your child. 

If you would like to purchase a baton, please order through Florida Twirling Academy for a proper fit. They are $30, and we order several times a year. 

No “toy” batons will be permitted at any of our classes or performances! Batons must have a metal shaft and white rubber ends
